Every restaurant in Unagee has been individually reviewed and scored. We combine multiple rating sources and subcategory scores (food quality, service, atmosphere) into a single score that puts culinary excellence first.
Each restaurant receives a composite score from 0 to 5. The score is weighted to prioritise food quality above all else. The higher the score, the better the culinary experience — regardless of price or setting.
Unagee offers a free tier that lets you explore a selection of restaurants. A subscription unlocks full access to all 500+ addresses, unlimited favourites, and all filters. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time from the app menu.
Yes. Restaurant data and photos are saved to your device on first load. You can browse, filter, and view restaurant details anywhere in Tokyo — even without a connection. The map itself requires an internet connection to display tiles.
Hours are sourced from official restaurant listings and updated regularly. That said, restaurants occasionally change their schedules without notice. We recommend confirming directly with the restaurant for special dates or public holidays.
Unagee needs location access to show your position and sort restaurants by distance. If you previously denied access, go to Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services → Unagee, and select "While Using the App".
You can manage or cancel your subscription directly from the app: tap the ☰ menu → Manage subscription. You can also cancel via the App Store: Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions.
We update the restaurant dataset regularly — adding new addresses, refreshing scores, and correcting any inaccuracies. Updates are delivered automatically when you open the app with an internet connection.
